Terms and Conditions for Study Mentor Academy

Welcome to Study Mentor Academy. By accessing our website, enrolling in our coaching programs, or using our exam registration services, you agree to comply with and be bound by the following terms and conditions. Please read them carefully.

1. Services Provided

Study Mentor Academy provides educational services, including but not limited to:

  • Test Prep and Coaching.
  • Mentorship for studying, scholarships in Finland and other international destinations.
  • Official Exam Registration (IELTS, GRE, TOEFL etc.).
  • Writing evaluation and feedback services.

2. Intellectual Property & Copyright Protection

All content provided by Study Mentor Academy—including but not limited to webinar slides, curriculum designs, training videos, automated feedback formats, website text, and proprietary strategy documents—is the intellectual property of Study Mentor Academy and H.O. Lawal.

  • Limited License: Students are granted a non-exclusive, non-transferable license to view and use materials for personal study purposes only.
  • Prohibitions: You may not record, reproduce, redistribute, sell, or publicly display any of our materials without express written consent. Unauthorized use of our content will result in immediate termination of services and potential legal action.

3. Coaching & Mentorship Programs

  • Results Disclaimer: While Study Mentor Academy provides the tools and strategies to achieve a Band 7+ or successful university admission, final results depend on the student’s effort and performance. We do not guarantee specific scores or admission outcomes.
  • Attendance: Students are expected to attend scheduled sessions. Recordings may be provided at the discretion of the Academy but are not guaranteed for every session.
  • Code of Conduct: We maintain a professional learning environment. We reserve the right to remove any student from a cohort or mentorship group without a refund if they display abusive, disruptive, or unethical behavior.

4. Exam Registration Services

Study Mentor Academy acts as a facilitator for official exam registrations (e.g., IELTS via British Council or IDP).

  • Information Accuracy: The student is solely responsible for providing accurate personal data (Name, Passport Number, DOB). Study Mentor Academy is not liable for errors or rejected registrations due to incorrect information provided by the student.
  • Fees: Exam registration fees (currently ₦279,500 for IELTS Academic) are subject to change based on the official testing bodies.
  • Third-Party Terms: By using our registration service, you also agree to the terms and conditions set by the official testing providers.

5. Payment, Refunds, and Cancellations

  • Coaching Fees: Payments for coaching cohorts must be made in full before the start date unless a payment plan has been formally agreed upon.
  • Refund Policy: * Coaching fees are generally non-refundable once the cohort has commenced.
    • Exam registration fees are non-refundable once the payment has been processed with the testing body.
  • Discounts: Promotional discounts are only valid for the specific timeframe and cohort mentioned in the offer.

6. Limitation of Liability

Study Mentor Academy shall not be liable for any direct, indirect, or incidental damages resulting from the use or inability to use our services, including but not limited to technical issues on third-party platforms (Zoom, YouTube, Google Sheets) or changes in international visa policies.

7. Data Privacy

Your personal information (Name, Email, Phone Number, and Essays) is collected to provide our services. While we use AI-assisted tools for evaluations, your data is handled with care. Please refer to our Privacy Policy for more details on how your data is processed.

8. Governing Law

These terms are governed by and construed in accordance with the laws of the Federal Republic of Nigeria. Any disputes relating to these terms shall be subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of the courts in Lagos, Nigeria.

9. Changes to Terms

Study Mentor Academy reserves the right to update these Terms and Conditions at any time. Users will find link to any significant changes via email or a prominent notice on our website.
